Lymphoedema Surgery is an exciting field of plastic and reconstructive surgery which helps to reduce or even completely cure swelling to upper or lower extremity. In primary lymphoedema cause is unknown whilst in secondary lymphoedema most common causes include removal of lymph nodes and or radiotherapy in breast cancer patients or patients who suffered gynaecological or urological cancer. Mr Kosutic, who is currently a Chair for Lymphoedema and Lipoedema Special Interest Advisory Group of BAPRAS (British Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons) is internationally recognised expert in this field and one of the pioneers for these procedures in the UK and lectures on this topic around the world.
