Arm lift

Brachioplasty or Arm Lift involves removal of excess skin and fat from the upper arms, resulting in a more toned and sculpted appearance. This procedure can be particularly beneficial for individuals who have lost a substantial amount of weight and are left with loose, hanging skin on their arms. Arm lift scars can be well concealed and recovery in most patients is quick. Procedure is sometimes performed in two stages, stage one being liposuction targeted to this area to first remove the excess fat, followed by stage two few months later when excess skin is removed.

Frequently asked questions
Please use the below list of frequently asked question and do not hesitate to contact us if you have any other questions or would like to discuss this procedure.
In patients with more significant skin and large fat excess, it is safer to first perform liposuction followed by excision of skin and remaining fat 4 to 6 weeks later. In patients with smaller amount of fat excess it is possible to perform a safe arm lift in one stage where both fat and skin are excised at the same time.
To maximise aesthetic outcome and avoid contour deformities, patients are advised to wear compressive garment up to 6 weeks after surgery as well as attend MLD. Mr Kosutic will refer you to a certified MLD Specialist so your outcome can further be improved and desired smooth contour achieved.
Best results are achieved in patients who lost weight and their weight is now stable, but they are unable to get rid of excess skin and stubborn fatty excess in their upper arms.
